Canmore / Kananaskis Hiking Elopement Videographer
Kieran & Dila officially tied the knot on a different day however, they wanted to save their personal vows for a more intimate experience to celebrate their love! They invited me to join them in Kananaskis for a 3:00am start at a trailhead about 45 minutes south of Canmore. This would give us ample time to hike up the mountain and get our affairs in order before sunrise. I decided I was going to haul my 11lb cinema camera up the mountain along with extra lenses, batteries and a tripod. Needless to say, it was heavy and tiring however, I am so happy with this decision as everything about this day was literal perfection and I wanted to do it justice!
We started things off with a first look and then immediately dove into our portrait session as the sun began to light up the mountains across the valley. We took a quick break for snacks and coffee and then these two decided it was time for vows. These were some of the most insightful, loving and unique vows I have ever heard. You may even shed a tear or two! Afterwards, we began to hike down for a change of scenery. We ended up in a beautiful forest where Dila and Kieran shared cupcakes and dancing. They ended the day with champagne and a polar dip in the frigid glacial waters of Goat pond.
